If you ask any of the 116 campers who attended this year's SEP* Luzon 2016 at Alta Rios Resort in Indang, Cavite, they would all say that it was the highlight of their summer vacation. Everyone was "lifted up" as they lifted God up in their worship and other activities throughout the duration of the camp. This year's theme is "Lifted Up." Some of them said they were inspired by the messages given during the Christian Living Classes and during the devotional time every morning. Some also were inspired by the leadership and inspiration they got from their counselors, assistant counselors, fellow campers and the staff. The activities like swimming, basketball, volleyball, dancing and others thrilled all the campers and filled them with fun throughout the six-day camp.

It rained hard. It was late and campers could not get out of their dorms to eat at the dining hall. But thankfully, the rain did stop although it was late but the dance night was fun for all!

For some 30 years now, Ptr. Vir Repaso with his wife, once again taught this year's campers all about the basics of archery. Everyone enjoyed this club. Although it rained hard, it did not dampen the spirit of the campers as they danced through the night during the Dance Night. They also enjoyed the Variety Show as each dorm shared their talents for everyone to enjoy and have fun.

Six youths from Grace and Peace Church in Roxas, Eastern Mindoro also joined and had the best thrill of their lives as they joined the camp for the first time. There were also two campers who came all the way from New Zealand. Twelve campers decided to give their lives to the Lord and were baptized during the camp.

Thank you note from SEP Luzon 2016 planning team:

For 6 fun-filled days this past week, 116 campers and around 50 staff came together for SEP Luzon 2016. The theme for this year was Lifted Up, to encourage everyone to offer our lives in worship as a response to the great love which He has already given.

Throughout the week, campers enjoyed energetic worship singing, cheers, meaningful camp devotionals and dorm chats. The program consisted of a variety of sports, Christian living classes, campus service, and clubs. Among the highlights was the return of Archery, taught by SEP living legend Ptr. Virgilio Repaso. Campers also showcased their creativity through the variety show, and braved the rain for another memorable dance night.

Camp ended on a high note last Thursday, 19 May, with 12 baptisms.
We praise God for the awesome way He has again moved through camp this summer! We were blessed by the presence of ND Eugene Guzon, our visiting pastors, and our dedicated staff for all their love and service to our youth -- both during camp and even outside SEP.

We would like to appreciate our donors and supporters from the Philippines and abroad for their generosity, encouragement and continued belief in SEP as an instrument of Christ's work in our young people's lives. God has richly provided through you all.

Thank you to all the parents, guardians, church pastors and workers who entrusted us with your youth and supported them in attending camp this year. Thank you to our awesome campers for sharing 6 days of your life and making memories with us at SEP 2016.

Til next summer!

In the meantime, we look forward to continue serving the Lord and lifting up His name with all of you.you.
