Three families from Barangay Lumbo in Valencia City, Bukidnon gathered last Sunday, February 8, 2015 at the Sistoso's residence for a Bible study that signaled the reopening of the GCI Valencia congregation after more than five years since some of its members transferred to GCI Maramag and others to nearby evangelical churches.

Through the leadership of Pastor Garner Gulfan, the senior pastor of GCI Lantapan, and through the assistance of Lloyd Yuson, the reopening of GCI Valencia became true after one of the former members who has not been attending church services anymore talked to Pastor Gulfan and offered his residence to be the worship service venue in Barangay Lumbo.

Last Sunday, Pastor Gulfan talked about the undying love of God through the parable of the lost son. Mr. Vicente Sistoso, the oldest member, shared how he felt crying everytime he hears the story and how he missed attending GCI. Although he would have loved to attend the worship services in GCI Maramag every Sunday, an hour of bus ride is just too far from his place.

The worship service will be held twice a month—every second and fourth Sundays, in Lumbo, Valencia (in front of Valencia Estates) at 10:00 AM. —Adelle Rico Yuson
