It was a groovy evening for the GCI Visayas Brethren as they hit the dance floor in their Bohemian Boho Chic outfits during the Worship Festival Dance Night on November 1, 2017 at Bethel Guest House, Dumaguete City. The activity commenced with a Fellowship Dance where everyone was given the chance to greet old friends and meet new ones. It was then followed by a heaving playlist of Ballroom, Pop, and Jazz Music.

The night brought together the congregation – His Church, in an atmosphere of love and rejoicing. David’s plea in Psalm 149:2-3 was manifested: “Let Israel be glad in his Maker; Let the sons of Zion rejoice in their King. Let them praise His name with dancing; Let them sing praises to Him with timbrel and lyre.” There was encouragement and love in the air as the dancing and sharing of the pica-pica food became opportunities to build one another in a fun way. The event also captured moments of family and friends at the themed photo booth.

One of the activity highlights was the recognition of the Best in Costume in which attendees with the most stunningly unique outfits were called up the stage to receive tokens of appreciation. This year’s Best in Costume Award went to Pastor Rex de la Pena and wife, Shiela, who were in character with their Hippie Boho Chic attire. There were also consolation prizes given to the finalists namely, Ayin Visitacion and Raeanne Obsines from Mactan, and Isaiah “Sai” Quindo from Cagayan de Oro.

This year’s Dance Night was hosted by the Mactan and Talisay churches led by Ms. Gloria Cuevas.
